BIRMINGHAM, AL – The Magic City Classic, the largest historically Black college and university (HBCU) football game in the country, proudly announces Amazon as its new title sponsor. The event, now officially named the Amazon Magic City Classic presented by Coca-Cola, marks a historic partnership that enhances the experience for fans, the Universities and the community.
The Amazon Magic City Classic, an annual showdown between Alabama A&M University and Alabama State University, has long been a celebration of HBCU culture, tradition and excellence. With Amazon’s support, the event will reach new heights, delivering enhanced fan engagement, innovative activations, and expanded community initiatives.

The 2025 Amazon Magic City Classic presented by Coca-Cola is October 25, 2025 at Birmingham’s historic Legion Field. Fans can look forward to an unforgettable weekend filled with football, marching band performances, and cultural celebrations.

The Amazon Magic City Classic presented by Coca-Cola is the largest historically black college and university (HBCU) football game in the country. Alabama A&M University and Alabama State University play in the game annually at Legion Field in Birmingham, Alabama, and the winner could potentially earn a spot in the SWAC Championship.
