Âé¶¹´«Ã½ woman accused of injuring man with knife

A Âé¶¹´«Ã½ woman was arrested Thursday after police say she injured a man with a knife early in the morning. 

According to the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Police Department, 31-year-old Veronica Dolores Ford was charged with domestic violence-aggravated assault. 

Officers were dispatched to a domestic violence in progress call in the 1300 block of Old Monrovia Road just after 2:30 a.m.

Officers arrived on scene and made contact with two people, a man and a woman inside an apartment.

Police say the man appeared to have an injury to the abdomen that was caused by a knife. He was transported to the hospital for medical treatment, and police say he is likely to survive his injuries.

The woman, who was identified as Ford, was interviewed. After a review of the evidence, she was booked into the Madison County Jail. Jail records show her bond was set at $2,500.
