ABC News: Republicans hold onto the House after clinching Senate and presidency

Republicans have won enough seats to keep control of the House of Representatives, according to ABC News.

As of about 1:25 p.m. Wednesday, ABC News projects Republicans will hit the 218-seat threshold in the House.

Republicans already won at least 52 seats in the Senate, with incumbent Pennsylvania Democrat Bob Casey trailing behind Republican Dave McCormick as some votes remain left to count.

Each party saw incumbents in tough House districts lose, ABC says, but Democrats were not able to take full advantage of a map that had 17 Republicans running for reelection in districts that President Joe Biden won in 2020.

This all comes after Former President Donald Trump won against Vice President Kamala Harris last week.Ìý
