Officials removed an elementary student in Colbert County from school on Thursday due to a threat.
Cherokee Elementary School Principal Heather Johnson said in a note to parents that the student made threats against a fellow student at the school.
The school SRO and Colbert County Sheriff’s Office removed the student from campus.
Johnson said the student was turned over to law enforcement.
