An Albertville teen is facing charges in connection to a crash that left two Albertville High School students dead, according to the Marshall County District Attorney’s Office.

The DA confirmed Friday that 18-year-old Yeismin Ramirez was charged with manslaughter and assault.

Alcohol and excessive speed contributed to the cause of the crash, according to the DA’s office.

“We are deeply saddened for the families of the victims in this case and will diligently pursue justice on their behalf.â€

Ramirez is currently being held at the Marshall County Jail on a $250,000 bond.

The incident happened about 8 a.m. Wednesday on Arley Lacey Road and Blessing Road. A 13-year-old and a 15-year-old died as a result of the crash.
