Decatur's police chief and a city councilman are being subpoenaed to appear in court for next week's gag order hearing in former officer Mac Marquette's murder case.
Court records show Morgan County prosecutors want the court to subpoena 14 police officers, three Alabama Law Enforcement Agency officers, councilman Hunter Pepper along with James Marquette.
These subpoenas come days after the release of leaked body cam video in this case.
Prosecutors asked for this hearing to make a temporary gag order permanent as Mac Marquette faces a murder trial later this year for the shooting death of Steve Perkins during a vehicle repossession. (Catch up on the case here)
