Auburn claws past Michigan, advances to Elite Eight, 78-65

For just the third time in program history, the Auburn Tigers have advanced to the Elite Eight. 

Auburn dominated Michigan late Friday night, 78-65.

Up one at the break, the Tigers caught fire in the final 20, outscoring the Wolverines by 12 in the second half.

Johni Broome led Auburn with 22 points and 16 rebounds. 

New Market native Denver Jones put up 20, as did freshman Tahaad Pettiford. 

Auburn will play Michigan State in the Elite Eight at State Farm Arena in Atlanta on Sunday at 4:05 p.m.
