Boaz police officer arrested, charged with domestic violence

Boaz Police said on Wednesday that a Boaz police officer has been arrested. Authorities say Carson Bradley Hix faces a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence.

Police Chief Mike Turner and Assistant Chief Michael Hempel arrested 27-year-old Carson Hix and took him to the Marshall County Jail. Hix was released on a $4,500 bond. 

Authorities say Hix will be placed on unpaid leave pending the outcome of the case.
