A judged denied bond for a man charged in connection with a deadly stabbing that happened at a Boaz restaurant on Tuesday.
Boaz Police say River Reed Hammett, 25, of Dawson, killed Terfils Juste Saint, 38, of Albertville. Officers say they responded to the Western Sizzlin to find Saint unresponsive on the ground and Hammett running away.Â
According to Boaz Police, a preliminary investigation suggested Saint and Hammett did not know one another and that the incident wan an isolated one.
The Marshall County Circuit Judge says the state met the burden of proof for Aniah's Law resulting in bond being denied for Hammett. Hammett is currently being held in the Marshall County Jail.
