The Florence Police Department says the recent arrest of a man may put an end to a recent string of property crimes.

Timothy Martin Simon was arrested May 31 as part of an investigation that began in April, police said. The crimes reported included burglary, burglary of automobiles, automobile theft, and theft of property.

Police said detectives found evidence connecting Simons to the crimes in a storage space.

Simon was charged with burglary, four counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle, 11 counts of property theft, and possession of burglar’s tools.

He was booked in the Lauderdale County Detention Center. Bond was set at $153,500.
