The trial for a man accused of a 2023 DeKalb County murder has ended with a hung jury.

According to District Attorney Summer Summerford, a DeKalb County jury announced they were deadlocked in the matter of State v. Keith Sullivan Tuesday.

Sullivan was previously indicted for the May 2023 murder of Gregory Bagwell.

As a result of the hung jury, the judge declared it a mistrial.

“We appreciate the Grand Jury that considered this matter, as well as the jury who sat through a week of testimony and arguments. It is the duty of this office to seek justice for those who have been harmed, regardless of their background. Deciding whether a defendant is guilty of murder is not a task to take lightly. This jury deliberated for some time in trying to reach a verdict, and we appreciate their time and attention.â€Â
