With the upcoming Nov. 5 presidential general election, here are some important reminders for Alabama citizens.
You must be a citizen of the United States, reside and registered to vote in Alabama, and be 18 years old on or before Election Day to be eligible to vote in Alabama. If you are barred from voting due to a disqualifying felony conviction or you have been judged “mentally incompetent†by a court of law, you cannot vote.
On Election Day, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters are required to present a valid form of photo identification when voting at their polling place or by absentee ballot.
