Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Police: Couple’s fight ends with man shot, woman in jail

Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Police say relationship troubles ended in gunfire and jail time Wednesday night.

Police responded to a shooting call in the 2,500 block of Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Street about 10:30 p.m. They found a man in the front yard suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police said the man is in a relationship with Jasmine Kali Hopkins, 23. They said the pair argued prior to the incident, which ended with Hopkins shooting the victim through the home’s door.

Hopkins was found behind a nearby residence and charged with domestic violence aggravated assault. No bond was set as of 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

The victim was taken to Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Hospital and is expected to survive, police said.
