A man was caught Tuesday night after police say he stole a vehicle with a child inside it.
According to the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Police Department, officers responded to a possible theft in progress in the 6600 block of Highway 431 about 9:45 p.m. The officers that responded located a woman who stated her vehicle was stolen and her child was inside the car.
Moments after relaying this information out to the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Police Department, the Madison County Sheriff's Office and Gurley Police Department were brought on the case.
Gurley police located the vehicle near Cherry Tree Road. Gurley officers say they saw a man fleeing the vehicle.
Officers searched the vehicle and located the child still inside the car unharmed.
Police then searched the woods for the man that fled.
The sheriff's office located the suspect, and he was arrested on charges the Madison County Sheriff's Office had.
Âé¶¹´«Ã½ police are investigating this case. Authorities have not released the name of the suspect at this time.Â
