JPII, Grissom to play home football games at Wicks Family Field

WAAY 31 is North Alabama's home for high school football

Wicks Family Field will be hosting more football than ever in 2025.

At a press conference on Friday afternoon, Â鶹´«Ã½ City FC announced that 16 high school football games will be played at Joe Davis Stadium during the upcoming season.

The stadium hosted five high school games during the 2024 season.

St. John Paul II and Grissom will both call the stadium home.

The Falcons will play six games on the turf while the Tigers and the other Â鶹´«Ã½ City Schools teams will play 10.

“We believe that this will be the best high school football experience in the state of Alabama,†HCFC managing director Chad Emerson said. “So we invite you to come out and join us on Thursday and Friday nights this fall.â€
