Jury finds Jackson County man guilty of manslaughter

On Wednesday, a jury found a Jackson County man guilty of manslaughter in a 2021 shooting in Skyline.

James Guffey's trial started Monday. Guffey was indicted in June of 2021 and charged with murder in the shooting death of Rose Ann Marie Guffey.

A sentencing hearing for Guffey is set for Sept. 26. at 1:30 p.m.
