Madison native, former Alabama A&M star Garrett Hicks signs with BC Rashi Tbilisi

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | Former Alabama A&M University men's basketball player Garrett Hicks has signed a professional contract with BC Rashi Tbilisi of the Georgia Superleague.

Hicks spent four years at Alabama A&M before playing his final season at Samford. During his senior season, the Madison, Ala. native was named the 2023 Van Pettaway Male Athlete of the Year winner as he played in 31 games, averaging 12.84 points per game and shot 43.9 percent. In addition, during his senior campaign, the 6-foot guard surpassed the 1,000-point plateau and finished his collegiate career with 1,537 total points.
