Man facing charges for stolen gun after 1 injured in accidental shooting

Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Police say they arrested a man after a stolen gun went off and struck a woman.

It happened on the 200 block of Binford Drive around 2 p.m. Thursday.

Officers responded to the scene and found a woman with a gunshot wound. She was taken to Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Hospital for treatment is expected to survive.

Officers say they quickly found the firearm in the apartment along with a potential suspect.

Investigators say it appears the gun went off while furniture was being moved and the bullet accidentally hit the victim.

Police say the firearm officers found was stolen. Police arrested Rodrick Learnest Carson, 50, of Âé¶¹´«Ã½. Carson is charged with second degree receiving stolen property and certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm.
