Man killed in single-vehicle wreck in Limestone County

Authorities say a man is dead following a single-vehicle wreck that happened Sunday night in Limestone County.

The wreck happened on Friend Road just west of Shaw Road shortly before 9 p.m. Sunday.

According to Limestone County Coroner Mike West, the man was heading east on Friend Road when his vehicle left the roadway, hit a telephone poll, and struck a tree. 

Alabama State Troopers are continuing to investigate the wreck.
