A Somerville man was arrested after deputies say he admitted to trying to steal items from a vehicle while high on methamphetamine.
According to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, 29-year-old Dylan Chase Peck was charged with burglary Friday.
On Nov. 10, deputies were called to a residence on New Cut Road in the Massey community due to an attempted breaking and entering of a vehicle.
After taking the report, deputies say they patrolled the area and were flagged down by two people on Highway 55 for a subject that was lying on the ground.
While rendering aid, the sheriff’s office says the individual, later identified as Peck, admitted to being high on meth and trying to steal items from the back of one of the vehicles. He also admitted to damaging another vehicle on the property.
He was cleared by medical and was then booked into the Morgan County Jail on a $2,500 bond.
Deputies say additional charges are possible.
