Police arrested a man accused of stealing multiple packages from a home in Florence.
The thefts happened on the 200 block of Meadowcrest Drive on Nov. 22. The victim reported to police that the packages were taken from their porch after they were delivered and were worth more than $600.
Police arrested Dalton Ray Hayes in connection with the thefts. According to Florence Police, at the time of the arrest, Hayes was driving a GPS-equipped vehicle belonging to his employer. Police say the employer cooperated with the investigation and provided location data to detectives.
Florence Police say the investigation into Hayes connected him to three separate incidents where packages were stolen. Hayes is being held in the Lauderdale County Detention Center.
