Get ready for a weekend full of fun after a heat wave in the Rocket City this week. On Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., head to Burritt on the Mountain for Makers on the Mountain. You can experience basket weaving and cordage making with invasive plants. This experience will teach your child how handmade cordage is a beautiful way for plant material to be woven into basketry.

Later Saturday morning at Lowe Mill, take a walk through the Outdoor Market to see vendors from all over the area. There will be handmade, secondhand, and Earth-made products for purchase. This open-air shopping experience is free to the public and a great opportunity to support our local craft vendors.

And on Sunday at the Â鶹´«Ã½ Botanical Garden, experience Festifall with the entire family. As you stroll through the garden, discover the beauty of fall. Explore the creative pumpkin displays and the scarecrow trail. Festifall is the perfect opportunity to create lasting memories with your family.
