Sen. Tommy Tuberville shed some new light on the debate over whether or not Space Command Headquarters will move to Redstone Arsenal in Â鶹´«Ã½.Â

Sen. Tommy Tuberville
During President-elect Donald Trump's first term, he supported the initial decision that tapped Â鶹´«Ã½ on the list. Under President Joe Biden, Space Command ultimately went to Colorado.Â
WAAY 31 Evening Anchor Tory Dunnan asked him Wednesday if there have been any conversations on the topic in recent days.Â
"Oh yeah," he said. "I would hope to say, close to 100 percent, that close to the first or second day, we'll find out that Space Command will be moving to the proper place in this country, and again, if Â鶹´«Ã½, wasn't the best place, I wouldn't be for it, because we need a strong military, but Â鶹´«Ã½ is the best place, and I think President Trump will move it back, and I think, very early in his first few days."
Previously, Tuberville said the operation would bring more than 1,000 jobs to Â鶹´«Ã½ in the first year alone.Â
