Fire, Reserve at Fairway Hills apartments

Several people are looking for new places to live after an overnight fire at a Â鶹´«Ã½ apartment complex. It happened at Reserve at Fairway Hills Apartments, located on 2021 Higher Ridge Drive.

The good news is that everyone is okay and made it out safely, though several people in this apartment complex are displaced from this fire.

Flames were up thirty feet in the air, according to the Â鶹´«Ã½ Fire Department.

Firefighters got the fire out, but unfortunately several families are displaced, and there is some serious damage that was done.

Crews around three this morning began doing clean-up to the impacted apartments to make sure no hotspots were left.

One woman who lives in one of the apartments that was hit by the fire this morning, Aleea Fletcher, said, “Everything is up in flames; someone’s shed caught on fire, someone's dirt bike caught on fire. Ambulance and fire people are here. I don’t know what's going on; I’m just glad nobody’s hurt.â€

Thankfully everyone is okay, and the Â鶹´«Ã½ Fire Department told us they did have to rescue a couple cats from the apartments.
