A new movie hitting theaters this week was filmed right here in North Alabama, and it's all about real-life miracles.
Eric Swithin, the creator of Show Me Your Glory, lives in Florence. He's spent a lot of time working on this film, and says he scoured the globe to share powerful stories of supernatural miracles—everything from healings to life-changing encounters that people say could only be explained by faith.
About 20 years ago, Swithin was a Marine serving in the Iraq War. He says it was during that time he faced a deep crisis of faith, wrestling with big questions about pain, suffering, and belief. That struggle eventually led him to dig deeper into his own faith and begin studying miracles from around the world. The result is this film—Show Me Your Glory—a collection of stories that Swithin and his team say offer hope and inspiration.
Swithin said, "I think this movie is a great chance for Christians to bring someone who might be struggling with faith, or just needs a little hope. It's about encouragement and real encounters with something bigger than ourselves."
The film is truly a community effort. It was fully funded by the ministry behind it, and every dollar made from ticket sales goes right back into that mission—the group mentors fatherless youth across the country. And here at home, the Shoals played a major role in bringing the film to life. About 90 percent of the cast and crew are locals, and scenes were shot at familiar places like the Tuscumbia jail, area parks, and local churches. Swithin says seeing the Shoals community rally around the project has been nothing short of incredible.
Show Me Your Glory is playing for three days only—May 13, 14, and 15—in more than 1,000 theaters nationwide. Visit for more information about the movie.
