Morgan County investigators are reminding parents it is important to know what is on your child's phone and to be aware of what apps they are using after a Somerville woman was arrested Monday for allegedly sending obscene material to a child.

According to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, 23-year-old Brianna Causey was charged with obscenity-obscene material-distribute to a child.

After a report was made in late January, the sheriff’s office says an investigation revealed obscene material was transmitted by electronic device to a child under the age of 16.

Causey turned herself into the Morgan County Jail, and her bond was set at $5,000.

Jail records show she was released later in the day on Monday.
