Tanner woman accused of stealing from Decatur department store

A Tanner woman faces theft charges after authorities say she stole merchandise from a department store in Decatur.

It happened at the Belk in Decatur on Nov. 22, 2024. Decatur Police say someone from Loss Prevention told them a suspect left the store with merchandise worth more than $500.

Investigators say Malinda Williams, 48, was developed as a suspect. Williams was arrested on Wednesday and charged with retail theft. 

Williams was booked into the Morgan County Jail on a $2,500 bond.
