UPDATE: Eastwood Elementary School will be closed to students on Friday. Decatur City School Officials says they have been unsuccessful to get heat back in the building as they are still working on the gas leak.
FROM EARLIER:
Due to a gas leak, Eastwood Elementary School will have an early dismissal at noon Thursday.
Decatur City Schools says buses will begin pickup at 11:30 a.m.
To make necessary repairs, gas will need to be shut off, which will affect heat and hot water in the building.
The school system says this only impacts Eastwood Elementary School. All other schools are operating as normal.
