UPDATE: Âé¶¹´«Ã½ overnight shooting suspect allegedly spits on officer, arrested after 4 hospitalized

UPDATE:

Âé¶¹´«Ã½ police have made an arrest in connection to an overnight shooting on Poplar Avenue. 

According to police,Ìý36-year-old Jarvis Trymane Jamison is charged with four counts of aggravated assault, assault with bodily fluid, harassment, and resisting arrest. 

This comes after police responded to a shooting at 708 Poplar Avenue on Monday, just after midnight.

When officers arrived, they encountered a large crowd and located four victims with gunshot wounds. Police say all four were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Based on information from witnesses, officers quickly located the suspect at an apartment complex near Sparkman Drive.

Police say the suspect, identified as Jamison, became combative with officers. An HPD K-9 unit was deployed to assist in taking him into custody.

While receiving medical treatment for a dog bite at the hospital, police say Jamison spat on an officer.

Jamison was transported to the Madison County Jail.

No further information is available at this time.

Four people were shot and hospitalized after an overnight shooting in Âé¶¹´«Ã½, according to officials at the scene. 

The call came in about 12:13 a.m. Monday. 

It happened happened on Poplar Avenue, near 708 Bar and Grille.

Officials say, although their conditions vary, everyone is expected to survive.

Multiple people have been detained for questioning.
