2 arrested in death of Colbert County infant

Sheffield Police say two people were arrested following an investigation into the death of a three-month old infant.

Javon Hargrove and Denise Derrick were arrested on May 9. Hargrove was charged with manslaughter, three counts of aggravated child abuse and four counts of child endangerment. 

Denise Derrick was charged with two counts of aggravated child abuse and four counts of child endangerment.

Both were taken to the Colbert County Jail. Hargrove is being held on a $100,000 bond.
