Authorities arrested two men on drug-related charges following a multiple agency operation in Limestone County on Jan. 14.
The Limestone County Narcotics Unit along with the Athens Police Department and the Madison County Sheriff's Office, conducted the operation in the West Limestone community.
During the operation, agents conducted a traffic stop. Authorities say a K-9 was quickly alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle during the stop. Following the alert, both occupants in the car were searched and agents say they found fentanyl and marijuana.Â
Gary Lorenzo Hill II, 33, was charged with Drug Trafficking - Meth. Authorities say Hill was on parole at the time of his arrest. He was released on bond the following day after posting a $500,000 bond.
Roderick Tyrone Massey, 32, faces multiple charges including Drug Trafficking - Meth, Possession with Intent to Distribute - Fentanyl and Promoting Prison Contraband - Drugs. Massey is in the Limestone County Jail on a $500,000 bond. Authorities say he was also on parole at the time of his arrest.Â
According to the Limestone County Sheriff's Office, correctional officers found an additional 10 ounces of meth that was concealed on Massey's person after they say he was behaving suspiciously during a search.
