Thousands of fans from all over are flocking to the Rocket City for its biggest music festival yet! will take over John Hunt Park Saturday.

Music icons like Gwen Stefani, Ludacris, and Sublime are coming to Â鶹´«Ã½. Fans are coming from near and far and braving possible severe weather conditions.

Music lovers like Jennifer and Brock Yates say nothing is going to stop them from having a good time.

"It's not just Sublime, but we have like Blink 182, Ludacris, like everything I grew up on," Jennifer Yates said.

Those are just a few of the big names taking center stage Saturday at Â鶹´«Ã½'s first South Star music festival. Jennifer and Brock are from Mississippi and drove just over two hours to see their favorite artists.

"It's something different, and a whole new atmosphere, and something new to try," Jennifer Yates said.

City leaders say they're expecting 20,000 to 25,000 people to fill John Hunt Park this weekend. So, whether you're planning on jamming out or not, expect some real traffic issues on South Memorial Parkway.

As far as the weather, folks like the Yates say rain or shine, they're ready for a good time. "It's really nice to be able to do something like this and celebrate every chance that you get," Brock Yates said.

Festival gates will open both days at 1 p.m. and the music will end at 11 p.m.
