Cold night ahead

Today's chilly weather will stick around for the weekend and into next week. We expect to see the coldest temperatures Monday into Tuesday. Overnight lows the next several nights will be the lowest since February!

Tonight will be mainly clear and cold. Temperatures will bottom out in the mid 20s.

Saturday starts with plenty of sunshine. We'll see a few clouds come in toward the end of the afternoon. It will be another chilly day for Christmas shopping or outdoor decorating with temperatures only warming to around 50.

Sunday starts will some clouds, but the air will be too dry for any precipitation. By afternoon we'll start to clear back out as our next shot of cold air begins to settle in. After starting the day in the upper 20s, we'll only warm to the low 50s by afternoon.

Monday into Tuesday will bring the coldest temperatures of the week. Even with sunshine both days we won't get above the mid 40s for highs. The mornings will be frigid. On Monday we'll start off in the mid 20s but it will feel like the teens with the breeze. Winds will be lighter Tuesday morning, but temperatures will be colder starting off in the low 20s for most, and the teens for a few.

We'll start to moderate the temperatures by midweek. Highs will get back into the 50s for the second half of the week and mornings won't be quite as cold getting back above freezing again Wednesday night.

Some showers may pass through Wednesday and again Friday as another push of chilly air arrives, but right now rain amounts are looking very light.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear skies. Lows in the mid-20s. Wind: NW 5 mph

SATURDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs near 50. Wind: Light W.
