Emergency crews took a man to the hospital after a stabbing in Â鶹´«Ã½.

The Â鶹´«Ã½ Police Department is investigating a stabbing in a parking lot off Memorial Parkway.

Don Webster with Â鶹´«Ã½ Emergency Medical Services Inc. said a 911 call came in around 2:20 p.m. in the area of Â鶹´«Ã½ Trucks near Bob Wallace Avenue SW.

The witness who made the call says he was stopped at a red light on Bob Wallace when he saw what happened.

"I was like wait, is that a knife," James Byers said. "I saw him run into him and I'm like, are they just scuffling? And I saw him pull the knife out and a bunch of blood came out."

Byers says he saw the man stab the victim several more times. Â鶹´«Ã½ Police say the victim and the suspect were in a car together when an argument started. Police are investigating the relationship between the two.

According to Webster, the victim was taken to Â鶹´«Ã½ Hospital with knife wounds and is in stable condition.

The managing partner of Â鶹´«Ã½ Trucks says their business isn't even open to the public yet. Coming from Athens, he says never expected something like this would happen before their grand opening.

"We pulled in and saw all this and just didn't have a clue what in the world was going on," Jeff Phillips said. "This was definitely a shocker you know to experience this the first week while were getting ready to open."

Police say one person is detained and being questioned. They say the public is not in danger.
