Florence Police officer on leave after domestic violence arrest

A member of the Florence Alabama Police Department is on paid leave after his arrest on Sunday.

Jonathan Richey was charged with domestic violence - harassment after Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a 911 call in Center Star about 10 p.m. Sunday.

Richey was taken the to the Lauderdale County Detention Center and booked on a $5,000 bond.

Florence Police on Monday confirmed Richey is on leave but directed all other questions to the sheriff’s office.
