On Aug. 7, Marshall County Sheriff’s Office investigators were contacted by a neighboring agency in reference to a report of a sex crime involving a juvenile that occurred in Marshall County.
On Tuesday, the Marshall County Criminal Investigations Division conducted a search and seizure of electronic devices.
Adam Wayne Atchley, 37, of Grant was arrested and charged with electronic solicitation of a child and transmitting obscene material to a child.
He was booked in the Marshall County Jail. Bond was set at $40,000.
The Grant Police Department, Marshall County District Attorney's Office, and the Marshall County Drug Task Force assisted.
