Â鶹´«Ã½ continues to grow, and with that comes great news for people looking for a job. There is a huge need for employees right here in North Alabama.
According to , there are over 13,000 jobs in the North Alabama area.
Â鶹´«Ã½ Hospital Health System is one of these places that needs a lot of employees. They have more than 500 open positions right now. And there are all types of jobs available, from nurses to administrative positions and technicians.
In fact, there are 373 nursing jobs currently available in the Â鶹´«Ã½ Hospital Health System. We spoke with Tracy Doughty, president and COO of Â鶹´«Ã½ Hospital, about this need.
Doughty said, “So our goal is to meet the needs of our growing community. And with that come new employees. So it's a great place to work because the culture here is one that we love. We love our patients and we love our employees. Two is that we respect our employees. Our job every day is to make sure that we’re doing the things that we can to make sure that their job is easier.â€
Doughty says the growth of Â鶹´«Ã½ has contributed to the need for more jobs in their system. Right now, there are more than 20,000 employees in the health system, and about 10,000 of those are in Madison County.
Doughty said, “We’re looking for employees all the time. We’re looking for people who are ready to take care of patients, who have a good spirit for mankind, and who have patience.â€
