Man accused of using credit/debit card stolen during burglary in Morgan County

A man is accused of using a stolen credit/debit card after a burglary in Morgan County.

According to the Decatur Police Department,ÌýAloysius Sears is charged with three counts of fraudulent use of a credit/debit card.

On Jan. 20, a Decatur resident reported their credit/debit card had been stolen during a burglary.

A joint investigation between Financial Crimes and Property Crimes detectives determined the card was used at a business in the 200 block of Austinville Road shortly after the burglary.

Detectives located footage of the suspect, who police say was later identified as Sears.

On Feb. 12, three warrants were obtained for Sears’ arrest.

On Tuesday, Sears was released from the Madison County Jail and transported to the Morgan County Jail where he was booked for his warrants and held on a $3,000 bond.
