The Â鶹´«Ã½ Police Department is asking for the public’s help as it investigates a deadly weekend shooting.
Police say the incident happened in the 1200 block of Hobbs Island Road on Sunday about 9:45 a.m.
When officers arrived to the area, they found 49-year-old Kirk Urban with a gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was immediately transported to Â鶹´«Ã½ Hospital, where he later died.
A witness told investigators Urban was in a verbal altercation with a middle-aged white male when shots were fired. Investigators believe the unknown male was swimming nearby with his wife and two children before the altercation took place. That same witness told investigators the family fled the area in a white, full-size, crew-cab pickup truck.
