Portion of Alabama 40 in Jackson County blocked due to single-vehicle crash

All lanes on Alabama 40 near the 2 mile marker in Jackson County are currently blocked and will be for an undetermined amount of time, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

ALEA says the road blockage is due to a single-vehicle crash that occurred about 10:30 a.m. Friday. 

Troopers with ALEA's Highway Patrol Division continue to monitor the situation.

Please seek alternate routes until the roadway is clear.
