The family of a 2-year-old involved in a pool accident in Arab on Monday, says the child's condition hasn't improved as of Wednesday.

Violet Satterfield's aunt spoke with WAAY 31 and says Violet is no longer sedated, but has had no response. Her aunt says Violet is a fighter who is not scared of anything and that she hopes she can pull through.

Violet's mother posted on that they were celebrating her second birthday when Violet went outside without her floaties and got into the pool. She says they found the toddler in the water without a pulse. First responders were able to get her heart beating and transported her to the hospital.

As Violet fights in the hospital, she has a community praying for her. The Arab community held a vigil for Violet on Tuesday.

A has been created for the family to help with medical expenses for Violet. Stick with WAAY 31 News for updates on this developing story.
