A Decatur man has multiple warrants out for his arrest after police say he fled from them during a traffic stop Thursday.Â
According to the Priceville Police Department,Ìý29-year-old Devin Tate White fled once he discovered an officer was going to arrest him for a felony narcotics warrant through the Morgan County Sheriff's Office.Â
Although police have not located him yet, they say White had already given them his license, making it easy for them to obtain new warrants to add to the one he was already facing. As seen in the statement below, which police posted on , officers also have his motorcycle.
"Devin did a remarkable job eluding authorities on foot…but there’s one problem he forgot to consider. You see Devin had already given his license to our officer identifying himself. Thanks Devin we appreciate that. This makes it so much easier to obtain our warrants to go along with the warrant you already had so now you have a bunch of warrants and we have your motorcycle."
In the post, police also ask White to turn himself in for the new warrants, which include unlawful possession of a controlled substance, attempting to elude a police officer, resisting arrest, theft of lost property, no plain visible tag, and no liability insurance.
