Alabama State Troopers say a woman was killed and a Marshall County man was airlifted following a wreck in Blount County Friday night.

The two-vehicle wreck happened around 7:30 p.m. on Alabama 79, three miles southwest of Locust Fork in Blount County.

Troopers say Kali M. Heaton, 31, of Remlap, was killed in the wreck. Investigators say Heaton was driving when her vehicle collided head-on with a truck driven by 44-year-old Joshua Cory Dean Carr, of Arab. Carr was injured in the wreck and had to be airlifted to UAB Hospital in Birmingham for treatment.

State Troopers say they're continuing to investigate the wreck.
