COUNTIES THROUGH 600 PM CDT...

At 508 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Moores Mill, moving north at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 40 mph or greater and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Maysville, Princeton, Plevna, Moores Mill, Elora, Brownsboro, Larkin,
Francisco, New Market, and Ryland.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Â鶹´«Ã½ Animal Services waives fees on most dogs during holiday adoption event

Â鶹´«Ã½ Animal Services is making it a little easier to bring home a new best friend this Christmas!

Now through Dec. 24, adoption fees on most adult dogs will be waived. The shelter says the goal of the campaign is to place pets into loving homes during one of the most heartwarming times of the year. 

“Adopting or fostering a pet during the holidays is a meaningful way to bring joy into your home,†said John Fischer, Director of Â鶹´«Ã½ Animal Services. “The holiday season is all about family, and there’s no better time to make a pet part of yours. Fostering, even for a short time, can also make a huge difference in the lives of these animals.â€

The adoptions include up-to-date vaccinations, a microchip for pet identification, spay or neuter surgery, a city license, and a free bag of dry pet food while supplies last.
