A Â鶹´«Ã½ man is facing multiple charges after Limestone County deputies say they found him with a large quantity of methamphetamine.
According to the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office, 40-year-old Stanley Dwayne Billions Jr. was charged with drug trafficking (methamphetamine), resisting arrest, possession of marijuana, and an alias warrant.
On June 6, deputies conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 65, just south of the Elkmont exit.
Deputies say they could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the truck upon initial contact with the driver. Deputies also learned the driver, who was identified as Billions, had an active warrant through Limestone County.
When deputies asked Billions to step out, they say he refused to exit the car and follow their commands.
Deputies were eventually able to get him out of the car, but he resisted arrest and was placed in handcuffs.
The sheriff’s office says deputies searched the vehicle and located 352 grams of methamphetamine as well as 14 ounces of marijuana.
Billions was booked into the Limestone County Jail with a $106,000 bond.
