Lauderdale County EMA announces road closures due to flooding

As rain falls across North Alabama Tuesday and Wednesday, the Lauderdale County Emergency Management Agency is dealing with some road closures due to flooding.

As of 5:50 p.m. Tuesday, the EMA reports these closures:

  • Mitchell Blvd at Hwy 20 underpass
  • Mars Hill Road at Rushton Blvd
  • CR 31 at CR 36 (slab crossing)
  • CR 534 at Slab crossing
  • CR 156 at Slab crossing
  • CR 502 at Slab crossing
  • Turner Lindsey Lane at Slab crossing
  • CR 130 at Slab crossing
  • CR 520 at CR 522 (slab crossing)
  • CR 462 at slab crossing.
  • CR 503 at slab crossing
  • *Note* All county slab (creek) crossings will remain closed overnight
